Dan Allen
Dan started this journey because, after twenty-plus years of successful business leadership experience and fifty-plus years of life experience, he learned that what he knew about money was wrong!
Dan’s passion and purpose are now teaching people to understand how money works, empowering them to build wealth and create a legacy for their families.
After high school, Dan studied agriculture and started farming on the family farm. But, when interest rates went above twenty percent, farming didn’t generate enough money to pay for all the expenses, so he took an oil and gas operations job. He enjoyed this career and eventually quit farming and focused full-time on gas and oil. Dan quickly climbed the leadership ladder and spent twenty years in senior management roles across various locations in Canada’s three western provinces. Dan’s position during those twenty-plus years involved every aspect of operating a business that generated hundreds of millions of dollars, and every site under Dan’s leadership was profitable for the company. While he enjoyed the business and technological challenges, the best thing for Dan was the great people he encountered during that time.
Then, in 2013, while still working in his oil and gas career, Dan was introduced to the “Becoming Your Own Banker” or The Infinite Banking Concept®. The financial knowledge Dan acquired through this process changed his life; he started to practice the concept personally and tell others about it in 2014. After retiring from his oil and gas career in 2016, Dan began to train through the Nelson Nash Institute and to be mentored by Canada’s most knowledgeable person on the concept and the owner/founder of Ascendant Financial, Jayson Lowe.
Dan obtained his licence in 2017 and continues his formal training each year and his mentorship with Jayson.
Through the study and the practicing of “The Infinite Banking Concept®,” Dan has learned how to empower others in their journey to financial success—to show them how the wealthy and banks create wealth and how to apply the same principles in their lives. Dan doesn’t believe in exposing clients to risky investments in an attempt to improve their financial well-being. It’s about teaching people how to control the banking function in their lives.
Dan works with Ascendant Financial Inc., enabling him to leverage the knowledge and capacity of that firm to support his clients.
