It doesn’t take long in the real world to come to the realization that money is finite in quantity. Our wants and needs, including vitally important ones, compete with each other, sometimes powerfully, for the resources we have available; sometimes with results that, to say the least, are not ideal.

Consider the king in his castle. The king knows that as grand as the castle may be, it is a nothing but a house of cards without a moat. The wider and deeper the moat the better, maybe with a few crocodiles thrown in.

We take the position that the castle should not be built at the expense of the moat… and, the moat should not be built at the expense of the castle. Considering all the slings and arrows that exist and come our way in real life, the essential question is… how to do that? Perhaps, how on earth does one do that??!!

I was most fortunate to be introduced to Nelson Nash and his ground breaking concepts before his book came out. His mentorship has been something that I place among the very few things at the highest value in my life.

Probably the most eye opening discovery is that money can be positioned to do more than one job at a time. We believe it is a grave mistake to think of rate of return only as the growth of an asset from point A to point B. Think about the rate of return on dollars that do two or more jobs at the same time… jobs we need done that were previously done with separate dollars.

Knowing this is why some kings do a heck of a lot better than others. I love sharing this, and I’d love to talk with you about it.
