    Meet Brad Lowe

Merriam-Webster defines SAVING as “preservation from danger or destruction”. It is my belief that with regards to personal finance, savings is the foundation from which all wealth is created. This may sound obvious but what often happens is the words “savings” and “investing” are used interchangeably. Investing is the pursuit of financial return on the dollars committed. With that pursuit of return comes the introduction of risk and the possibility of loss of capital (or destruction of capital). With this understanding it becomes clear that savings and investing are not the same. Investing is not bad. To the contrary, investing is good when approached from a savings perspective. To be more clear, investing should come from the overflow of savings, not in lieu of savings. When my clients and I strategize about how to most efficiently PROTECT, GROW, and ENJOY their wealth, this savings component is what builds the Protection piece of their overall portfolio. The Infinite Banking Concept (IBC), developed by R. Nelson Nash, is one of the most creative and time tested strategies I know of to create the excess savings that is needed to fuel the investing portion of a holistic financial plan. When that investing portion is generated from the foundation upward through excess savings created by utilizing IBC, it establishes the control and flexibility that we all seek and gives the peace of mind to ENJOY your wealth in the present.
