Nelson Pizarro

Nelson Pizarro II was born and raised in Miami, Florida, the proud son of Colombian-born parents. His passion and talent for soccer earned him a scholarship to Lincoln Memorial University, an NCAA Division II school, where he earned a degree in Business. During his college years, Nelson helped lead his team to a conference championship three times, one final four appearances and a national runner-up finish. His impact on and off the field earned him a place in the Lincoln Memorial University "All American 3 times" and Athletic Hall of Fame. Most importantly, it was at LMU that he met his wife, Cassie. Together, they now raise four wonderful children—Daizy, Ezekiel, Jazlene, and Hazel.

After college, Nelson became a professional soccer player, competing in the MLS, USL, and internationally. During his offseasons, he began exploring other ventures, eventually investing in a vineyard in Ramona, California. Today, he oversees operations at the Castelli & Pizarro Family Winery’s tasting rooms and Espresso in San Diego, where his passion for business and hospitality come together.

Nelson also co-founded a product-based business called Slickynotes and has coached youth soccer at the highest level in the U.S. with San Diego Surf, where his children also play. As a father, athlete, coach, and entrepreneur, Nelson began to notice a recurring theme in traditional financial advice—put your money in retirement accounts, buy term life insurance, and invest the rest in the stock market. But after years of following the standard path, he felt trapped: penalties for accessing his own money, unpredictable market swings, and a system where everyone else seemed to profit before he did.

This sparked his search for a better way to build and preserve wealth. In 2018-2019, Nelson dove deep into financial education—reading books, listening to podcasts, and consulting with successful business owners. The turning point came when he discovered Becoming Your Own Banker by R. Nelson Nash. That was the “aha” moment that changed everything.

Today, Nelson and his entire family are fully invested in the Infinite Banking Concept (IBC). They use it daily, and Nelson is committed to helping others regain control of their finances. With his unique background in sports, business ownership, and family leadership, he brings both experience and passion to every client he works with.
